The Ceiling Tile Project, where the patients paint pictures on ceiling tiles

Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System has a 12-Bed Pediatric Unit, which provides a kid-friendly atmosphere. The MHHS Pediatric Unit specializes in caring for children, from birth to age 18. The staff is qualified to care for children, and the pediatric nurses have undergone training in the Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course. The MHHS Emergency Room is the area’s only state designated general pediatric emergency facility, offering specialized equipment and advanced training and certification in the care of children.

MHHS also offers the Athletic Advantage Program which facilitates the evaluation and treatment of sports injuries for our high school athletes.

Pediatricians generally provided healthcare for children from birth through their teen years. Pediatrics is concerned with the development, care, and diseases of babies and children. Most family practice physicians also specialize in treating children, starting at birth. MHHS is home to a group of skilled and talented physicians.
