Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System is proud to have launched a campaign
dedicated to improving the lives of thousands of area women and their
families. We have always understood the particularly critical role of women
not only as caretakers of their families, but also to their friends and our
community. But so often, we witness women sacrificing their own health needs
for the care of others. We teamed up with Spirit of Women, a nationally recognized women's health network devoted to inspiring and motivating women, to design an exciting regional campaign that promotes, encourages, and rewards positive, healthy lifestyles. Spirit of Women has national affiliations with The National Heart, Lung & Blood Institute, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, The National Institutes of Health and is anchored by media such as Oprah Magazine, Good Housekeeping and The Today Show. Our last event was Day of Dance, held February 23 at the College Square Mall. The event featured dancing, heart health activities, education, music, health screenings, and refreshments (pictured).
