A Word From Our CEO
Richard L. Clark In the past decade, Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System has grown from a primary care hospital to a secondary level healthcare provider, and now into a regionally integrated healthcare delivery system serving the eight-county Lakeway Area. We are dedicated to quality patient care and improving the overall health of the communities we serve.

Much of this growth has been accomplished by increasing our scope of healthcare services, expanding our medical and support staff, implementing state-of-the-art technologies, and through continuous improvements in every area of the healthcare delivery system.

MHHS has a vision of healthcare for the residents of this region, which is focused in the areas of heart, cancer, emergency-trauma-critical care, and women's and children's health.

We are dedicated to providing a continuum of care exemplified by the increased availability of heart and vascular services, aero medical transport services (UT LIFESTAR), cancer services, pediatric services, intensive care services, and the addition of new physicians and technologies.

In our Heart, Lung and Vascular Center, medical and support staff now provide emergency procedures for the placement of coronary stents that help diagnose and treat heart attack patients. The availability of interventional vascular procedures has also added angioplasty and stent treatments to dilate blocked peripheral arteries.

In a new joint venture Cancer Center between MHHS and Baptist Health System Of East Tennessee, patients now receive radiation therapy services locally with new state-of-the-art equipment, including a linear accelerator and a high-speed simulator.

Our vision is to move Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System from its current position into a more comprehensive Regional Delivery System for primary, secondary, and tertiary level healthcare services.

Respectfully,
Richard L. Clark
