Morristown-Hamblen Hospital Foundation Hosts Eleventh Annual Golf Invitational Golfers took to links at the Millstone Gold Club on May 4, 2007, for the Eleventh Annual J.G. Wallace & Jeep Rouse Memorial Golf Invitational, sponsored by the Morristown-Hamblen Hospital Foundation. Co-chairman of the Golf Invitational, Bill Fox said, "The turnout was tremendous. We had 140 players, multiple sponsors, great food, and most importantly, over $60,000 was raised to support programs and services provided by Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System and needed by the community." Bill Fox is pictured with the 2007 Low Gross Winners, Buddy McMahan, Bruce Lewis, Regina Winstead, and Lee Kimbrough. Other winners include: First Flight - First Place: Dr. Harsha Shanta, Parker Smith, Ed Moody, Casey Smith; First Flight - Second Place: Terry Ball, Wally Long, George Lamons, Dr. John Lamons; Second Flight - First Place: Lance Wild, David Wild, Leonard Stewart, Steve Turner; Second Flight - Second Place: Steve Cannon, Tim Alba, Tom Porter, Nathan Smith; Third Flight - First Place: Jim Crumbly, Sandeep Kapoor, Jackie Murray, Roger O'Neil; Third Flight - Second Place: Bob Mullins, Bill Wardle, Matt Nelson, Dave Windham; Putting Contest Winner: Bill Fox; Chipping Contest Winner: Parker Smith. "As a result of the generosity of corporate sponsors and participants in events like this golf tournament, the hospital foundation has been able to support continuing professional education; program development; and purchases of needed medical equipment," said George O. Haggard, Jr., MHH Foundation President. The annual J.G. Wallace & Jeep Rouse Memorial Golf Tournament is just one of many fund raising events held to aid in the healthcare delivery of MHHS.
