Morristown-Hamblen Hospital Foundation

Our History

Since 1997, the Morristown-Hamblen Hospital Foundation has raised funds to support Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System. As a result of the generosity of corporate sponsors and participants in events like the annual Golf Tournament and Heart Gala, the Foundation has been able to support continuing professional education, program development, and purchases of needed medical equipment.

Our Purpose

The purpose of the Morristown-Hamblen Hospital Foundation is to support Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System in promoting and advancing the well-being of our community by providing quality healthcare and health related services. Its mission is to provide philanthropic support to the health system through the generosity of individuals, corporations and foundations in the community with the support of its volunteer board of directors.

Golf Tournament

The annual J.G. Wallace & Jeep Rouse Memorial Golf Invitational is held each year in May at Millstone Golf Club. Sponsorship opportunities range from $200 to $5,000 and individual player spots are available for $150 each. Proceeds support continuing professional education, program development, and purchases of needed medical equipment.

Please contact Elizabeth Essary at (423) 492-5602 or for more information or to register your team.

Heart Gala

The 13th annual Heart Gala - Arabian Nights was a resounding success!  Over 300 guests enjoyed an evening of dinner, music and dancing, special award presentations and a terrific auction. Proceeds from the Heart Gala will help to purchase a web-based LifeNet system to improve communication between EMS and hospital personel during the treatment of patients experiencing emergency cardiac crises.

At the gala, the Foundation was pleased to honor three special individuals for their support of the cardiac care programs at Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System: Kirk Wyss as Honorary Event Chair, the late Mary G. Bell as Heart of the Community award winner, and the Morristown Hamblen EMS program and staff as the Heart of Healthcare award winners. Many thanks to our sponsors and guests who made the event a success!

Your gift may honor a loved one, celebrate the birth of a child, memorialize a death, or simply show your appreciation to the many men and women who are part of our outstanding health care community.

How can you support the MHHS Foundation?

You can assure the continuation of our mission in many ways: your gift or pledge to the fund, your gifts in memory or in honor of friends and family, or your thoughtfully planned bequest – all these are just a few of the ways you can help us grow in the future.
